THE STATE

In a total staging of Copenhagen, fix+foxy, together with TOASTER, sets out to uncover the state's dynamics and structures. THE STATE is a series of episodes that take place throughout Copenhagen January-June 2025. In each episode you will move to a new part of the state and meet people you might not even know existed.

BERRIES OF WRATH

A roadtrip through the social geography of Europe.
Under the white plastic that covers the endless fields of Southern Europe, large groups of people live, sleep, eat and work. fix+foxy invites them along on the journey from the fields of Spain to the tables of Northern Europe.

THE VILLAGE

Our identity is no longer being separated by geographies and borders. But even though we have come closer to each other, there are parts of the world that are moving further apart. With a cast from 5 different countries, fix+foxy sets out to tell the stories of globalization. What does it mean to live in a world where everything seems within reach, but at the same time impossible to get?

IMPERIAL TROOPERS

The world is built on empires. Empires arise, grow, collapse and are taken over by other empires. The empires are many and their troops are everywhere. But you can't always see them. They creep in, very close, without you noticing. Maybe they are already here…

WE THE 1%

fix+foxy invites the wealthy into our imagination and our conception of what they are like and and how they live their lives. A performance dealing with vulnerability of being extremely rich and isolated from the surrounding society.

AGAINST ALL ODDS

Against All Odds is a story about children’s lives and what they could potentially look like as future adults. It is a projection of the statistics, however brutal and uncompromising.

ROCKY! - RETURN OF THE LOOSER

ROCKY! is a journey into a society and its many different Rockies. Rocky is not just one person, but a multitude of people, a cleaved right-wing that cannot be contained in a simple analysis.

DARK NOON
It is the wild and lawless story of Western civilization told by a group of South African white facing actors. Here the relationship between the West and Africa is turned inside out and the audience never knows what to expect.

MY DEER HUNTER
With the film classic Deer Hunter as a guide, fix+foxy invites four war veterans, to recreate the life they lived before it all fell apart. They revisit the traumatizing moments, that changed their life forever.

HOME PARTY
A social audiowalk in your own home.
Homeparty is an audio experience in your own home for 4-9 participants, invited by you and all playing themselves – a guided-through psychological role-play about communities and social exclusion.

APOCALYPSE NYC

A Danish artist takes on the quest for finding Sune Wagner in the American jungle, called New York. Wagner has chosen to unite with the unknown and live out the American dream. Our man has been sent out to retrieve Wagner and bring him back to the Danish civilization, yet again. The journey through Harlem, Fifth Ave, and China Town is an encounter with the American culture, and a search for answers to how this city captured the Dane by the heart.

AVATAR ME
With AVATAR ME you buy someone else’s life for 45 minutes. The performance is a “first-person”, live-streamed experience where you for a moment affect another person’s actions elsewhere in the world.

COME ON BANGLADESH, JUST DO IT!
It's outsourcing, so even Nike, the biggest outsourcing guru in the world, just has to say “Just Do It!

FIX+FOXY'S LA GRANDE BOUFFE
fix+foxy invites a group of people on welfare benefits to test and comment on upper-class living as portrayed by the cultural elite themselves. Our prejudices about one another turn into a image of modern life with all its hopes and meaninglessness.

DOLLARS (FO)
Although it is a long way from Klaksvig to Colorado, Dollars (FO) set out to recreate Dollars on the Faroe Islands. It became a hunt for the great passions and dramas in the small island community.

A DOLL'S HOUSE
Ibsen understood acutely how people interact and wanted his theatre to be like real life. That is why fix+foxy has taken Ibsen’s most performed play and staged it in real homes with real people.

THE EUROPEANS
The Europeans is a collage of major european classicals concerning war, starting with Aischylos. The collage is set in a garden, translating the classical conflicts to everyday life.

FRIENDS
In a spin off of the legendary American sitcom Friends, the roles of Rachel, Monica, Phoebe, Ross, Chandler and Joey are taken by a group of asylum seekers from asylum camps around Copenhagen. In this series performance, the audience experiences the six asylum seekers' quest to get a chance and, for a moment, live a different life.

GOLD RUSH
Based on the Carlie Chaplin film The Goldrush, a spastic, dyslexic, second-generation Muslim immigrant plays the lead role as the vagabond who, against all odds, ends up with the gold and the girl. Gold rush is about our desire for good stories, and about how much we need a bad starting point to get the perfect ending.

LAMPEDUSA CRUISES
Alhadj Djumaa is the world's northernmost sailing refugee boat, sailing around Copenhagen's canals with a refugee crew. Here, food, music and sea bathing are spiced up with the refugees' own stories of crossing the Mediterranean in overcrowded boats in the hope of creating a better life.

THE LAND WITHOUT DREAMS
It is the future we hope to experience that is at stake if we do not start dreaming. The performer on stage comes from the future, and she tells the story of the future as we would like it to be.

LOVE THEATER
A small piece of Thailand's sex tourism has moved to Copenhagen. Here, the audience becomes the sex worker's customers in the story of some of the experiences she has had through her work. Love Theater is of course about sex, but also about all the other needs we have. Love, for example.

PARSIFAL
Parsifal is a travel opera. A performance that brings the opera audience from Copenhagen Central Station to the Copenhagen suburb of Brøndby Strand. Parsifal is a meeting between two different ghettos: the secluded, mocked social housing and the exalted, elitist opera people.

PRETTY WOMAN A/S
In a remake of the American blockbuster, Pretty Woman, every night a new prostitute is on stage in the role of Julia Roberts, Vivian Ward. By recreating the most important scenes from the film, the performance questions the story of the happy whore and what is at stake when you buy another human being.

SEX AND VIOLENCE
We are obsessed with the sensation. The violent, unpleasant and transgressive. All that is SEX AND VIOLENCE. In the performance, five giant puppets from the shadow side of life stand on stage and serve up a musical, pornographic and violent show.

STALKER
Come on a journey into the ZONE – a forbidden area, a deadly, mysterious place. At its center is the SPACE – a place where all your dreams come true. But only the lost can get through the ZONE and the only one who can lead to the ROOM is the wanderer STALKER. STALKER is the voice in your ear.

CHALLENGE 07
During the general election in 2007, fix+foxy led an election campaign in collaboration with TV-Glad for three disabled employees on the TV channel. In the campaign, the focus was placed on all the minorities who are otherwise ignored in the major parties' struggle for power.

YOUTH
In a tent camp with sand and a forest lake, the audience is accommodated in their own tent with a young person. Here unfolds the story of the most terrible and most fantastic period in life. A period that is about love, uncertainty, ambitions, anxiety, social relationships and life choices.

BE THE DRAMA OF THE DAY
You sit in a perhaps familiar place in the city and observe your surroundings. A special soundtrack plays in your ears, which creates a story about what you are watching. Slowly, a drama unfolds before your eyes. An extraordinary everyday drama.

WELCOME TO TWIN PEAKS
In eight cars, local citizens drive the audience around Odsherred to meet other locals, who each tell their personal story. Based on the cult series Twin Peaks, the performance is a piece of landscape theater and a teeming portrait of a region and its citizens.

THE BEST SHOW IN THE WORLD
In collaboration with Glad Teater, fix+foxy threw themselves into making the world's best show. The performance became an interweaving of tableaus, music, strange stories and stunts, as a mirror of our lives and the attempt to get it all together in the right way before it is too late.

THE TRIUMPH OF THE WILL
In a factory hall in Copenhagen, one of film history's great and most problematic masterpieces is re-recorded. Here the audience is staged as the German people in a remake of the Nazi propaganda film Triumph of the Will.
